Artist's Comments

This pic turned out better than I expected. :D I love how it turned out, I was trying to capture the texture, colors that would be similar to the traditional Chinese ink painting. *dances* I break my own routine by celebrating this holiday... I might as well put some more up. XD

Medium: ink, photoshop

Techniques: *this will be annoying to write...but here i go. If you understand, good for you. ^^b

Step 1: New layer>> fill with Redish light brown,
Filter>>Noise>> Motion blur (90 degree)>> noise>>Clouds>> fade clouds(multiplies)>> touch up with sponge tool (desaturated)>> Burn tool.

Step 2: Make another layer(normal), brush(light yellow) and cover some area of the outline, make sure the layer is under that brown background layer. Then Filter>>noise. Some outline will look as though fading.

Step3: Make another normal layer, color in the character with thin color opacity.

Step 4: Make another layer(normal), do text... (I drew it this time)

Step 5: Moon and clouds: new layer(soft light) place it above all other layers.

OMG Why the hell has no one commented on this ?! This is awesome. It looks so traditional but still keeps a CG and anime feel. Very good merging of anime with traditional line art. All the draping clothing looks perfect to me. The colors are great (I never though salmon could be used well). That background wiht the lines and the sky is wonderful. She holds the fan so delicately ^.^ You have the awesome red stamp sig and soem cool blakc characters at top left. (still doesn't understand why this picture isn't filled with comments)

Marriage is a union between two people who love each other regardless of gender. So then why do people always talk about love being 'true?' Why is being 'gay' an exception to this? Don't those two people love each other? It's not a choice.

Wow, that's lovely! Not only is your persona beautiful, but you've portrayed her quite lovely in this image. I especially love the effects you've applied here, making it to appear as an old Chinese ink painting.

This is most l33t and you have muchly mad skillz. I must add this to my favorites.

Make this a print, and I'll buy it, too.

It really looks like a tapestry (great work on the texture!) and the lines are so fluid... Amazing. You have the traditional ink painting style down pat.
