For the lack of better title... -_-''' But its a title i had in my mind when i look at this.
Time: 3 days (around 6-8 hours) Medium: Prisma color pencil, USA letter paper. (8.5X11" ) Step by Step break down: [link] Ta DAAA~ This is my prisma color pencil piece. Once in a while I use prisma, usually I use Prang. Compare it with this: [link] You can see the difference in richness. (but thats useless to say almost everyone know prisma for its richness...) I set my mind to make illustration pieces that takes longer time to do... one thing about longer pieces that bugs me is that even though I love the piece i work on, it just takes sooo freaken long I feel like ending it. >_< Darn, how am I going to reach to 100 hours with this kind of patience? TT_TT sniff. ***Keep in mind the eagle is more stylized than reality, and the light source.... I hope its directional enough..... I love this piece. |

Well the result is fantastic...and oh the colors are so fabulous.... The whole THING looks fabulous....
And I know you said that the bird is stylized but....wouldn't a golden eagle (that's what the birdy mostly is, right?) be larger than that? I know, I know, it's stylized. Truthfully I'm mostly just asking to make sure I know my birdy sizes.
Well, it still looks fabulous! All the pretty feathers....

this is just.. mindblowing... for one the color scheme is amazing. All those beautiful reds and browns and yellows.. his eyes also really stick out at me, and the hawk looks incredible. Just an overall eye-pleasing and very well done picture.
