:star: Check my right hand practice sketchbook: [link]

After completing this picture only with my right hand (I am left handed) I can now officially declare my right hand as a drawing hand, except I have a title: "Slow hand" for it. lol~ My left is still the fast one.

To normal eye is a bit hard to see the difference... but if you look at the grass, you can tell this hand is still a bit more shaky. There isn't as much shadowing either because it can't shade with more subtlety.

Right hand can't ink nor animate yet, inking is the next goal... eventually also animating. Right now all it can do is pencil and illustration.

This says something about the process of the various art form, illustration allows for slow speed and less steady hands, inking needs a steady hand and needs a slightly faster speed, and animation needs a fast hand.

W00t! I did it! It feels so monumental!

Bro: "Are you preparing for when your left hand gets cut off?"

Me: "I don't need my left hand to be cut off before I need my right! Carpal tunnel syndrome ! Heard of it?"

I will color this later... with my right hand... to train it to CG.

:3 thanks for checking on me.

I started this since my Freshmen year~ XD It takes about 2-3 years to get steady enough to do this... I want to try to ink with it later.

As I said under your last journal - I'm impressed. So much! @ o @ ! It's awesome for second-in-command hand XD ! All the details and shading on his cape... Seriously, awesome...
Well you inspired me to start training my left hand too! (I'm primarily right handed.)
Could you give me any tip where to start? I'd be thankful for the least one!

if you take a look at my right hand sketchbook, you will see that i did a lot of circles, I started from basic shapes, circles, oval, continuous lines, gestures, and then go back and forth on characters, copying photos, etc. I also trained it to draw straight lines, those things are things you trained yourself to do as a child, but tend to forget when you grow up. :)

Awesome. I've tried drawing with my left hand before(right handed) and the results were...not very good. =p

Looks amazing, especially since you were using your opposite hand :D Congrats! ^^

Wow, that's really amazing! I'm also left handed and anything I do with my right hand is extremely shaky! Then you just proved it's possible to train your non-usual hand to do the same job of the other one. But I supose it took a long time to get this result?

about 2-3 years. Not that long, but its decent length, because i don't train it all the time.
