After completing this picture only with my right hand (I am left handed) I can now officially declare my right hand as a drawing hand, except I have a title: "Slow hand" for it. lol~ My left is still the fast one.



To normal eye is a bit hard to see the difference... but if you look at the grass, you can tell this hand is still a bit more shaky. There isn't as much shadowing either because it can't shade with more subtlety.



Right hand can't ink nor animate yet, inking is the next goal... eventually also animating. Right now all it can do is pencil and illustration.

This says something about the process of the various art form, illustration allows for slow speed and less steady hands, inking needs a steady hand and needs a slightly faster speed, and animation needs a fast hand.

W00t! I did it! It feels so monumental!


Bro: "Are you preparing for when your left hand gets cut off?"

Me: "I don't need my left hand to be cut off before I need my right! Carpal tunnel syndrome ! Heard of it?"


I will color this later... with my right hand... to train it to CG.

I wonder how it makes people feel that you can draw better with your LEFT hand than most people can do with their right? xD

Why would you ever need both hands to draw? Planning on losing a sword fight sometime soon?

Due to overworking one hand. Have you ever gone to that point when your drawing hand goes like: "That's it! Give me a vacation now or I will have a nervous break down!!"

I have been there.... that's when I decided it's time to make my right hand do a bit more work.

Damn, I can't do anything with my right hand except maybe write horribly. I can barely hold a knife with my right hand properly. I congratulate you on able to draw with you right hand, and very well too. Gives me motivation that I can still try with a little hand training.

lol omg ;_; .... wow.... i've beeen wanting to do that so much for my left hand xD can you write as well? because i've tried doing it... of course it's really slow but sometimes i feel like drawing is easier than writing actually
XD anyways, great picture O_O i'm amazed... especailly cuz that's your right hand
