I can spend a week half@$$ing around in 3-D, and make a decent little movie. But if I do the same with 2-D, It's crap. My point is that 2-D requires more skill, therefore I respect it alot more. =3
2D all the way, but i've come to learn that using 3d within 2D animation can have a really good effect and save some effort thus I've come to the realization that i'll have to learn at least some 3D on top of what I know of 2D animation. But i've always been more for 2D, even the pixar films don't excite me that much, always been more of a ghibli fan at heart
and I say this not to say that 3D animation cant be good, I feel 3D and 2D can do the same exact things at heart. Any story you can tell in 3D can be done in 2D visa versa but what it boils down to is which style you enjoy more and there is definitely something about 2D that pulls me in much more strongly than 3D.
Bad 3D is awful but good 3D is sublime. 2D is great as well. I'm hoping now Disney have bought out Pixar and then Pixar have kinda taken over, they'll start making good animations again.

I like hand made work :3
in 2D, i dunno, IMO you can draw and make it look pretty if the colour is right
in 3D, as i look at it, it is really easy to screw it up if one thing is done wrong, sure 2D can be the same, but 3Dhas a bigger chance of screwing up
